Abstract:

Grandfather's horror stories make up one of the most important parts of the sons. Stories containing rich motives have been rested with great curiosity in the oral tradition for many years, and have been read from written sources after being written. The influence of grandfather's horror stories is also seen in many works. The motives found in grandfather's horror stories have been reworked in manuscripts, novels, theatrical works, children's books, films, plastic arts. The stories have influenced the various stories in the Turkish world, as they have influenced the stories of other nations in relations with Turks. In this study, the influence of the Stories of Dede Korkut on the work of the Story-i Neriman was discussed. After all, it was seen that Dede's horror stories influenced the story of Neriman. This story contains many motivations in Grandfather's horror stories. Father's horror stories are one of the most important sources in the formation of the Story-i Neriman. The events in Destand are built around the motives taken from grandfather's horror stories largely. The story of Neriman also carries the verbal elements of the traditional language. These elements indicate that the story was written in the verbal tradition before it was translated.
