Abstract:

In this study, classroom teachers' concerns about science lesson and laboratory use were examined in terms of some demographic variables.. The universe of the research consists of 102 classroom teachers working in public schools in Samsun in the 1st term of the 2022-2023 academic year. Quantitative research method was used in the study. As a data collection tool, the scale with questions "Classroom Teachers' Anxiety Scale Regarding Laboratory and Teaching Process" developed by Kahraman and Polat (2017) was used. The research was conducted on a voluntary basis. Quantitative data in the research were analyzed with the statistical package (SPSS) program. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the field proficiency, communication and classroom management concerns of the 102 classroom teachers who participated in the research were at a moderate level regarding the science lesson teaching process and laboratory use. In addition, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between anxiety levels in terms of demographic variables such as gender, age, educational status, school, year in the profession and laboratory status.
