Abstract:

Today, the effectiveness of the insurance sector is seen as an indicator of economic growth. There are many functions in the insurance sector that will have a catalytic effect on the economy, such as distributing risks and increasing the fact of confidence and the power to create funds. Therefore, it is of great importance to increase individuals’ insurance awareness and insurance literacy levels. In this framework, the study, using the deep interview method, has been attempted to reveal the situation of insurance literature in our country from the eyes of the managers of insurance companies. According to the outstanding findings, the insurance readership of individuals or industry employees is already quite insufficient. At the point of healing, it is necessary to create awareness of insurance literature along with financial literature. In this regard, it is understood that in addition to insurance companies, public and civil society organizations should make efforts especially on educational activities.
