Abstract:

Abstract:

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the level of education and wage of employees in the enterprises operating in the industry and service sector registered in the KOSGEB databases in the Afyonkarahisar province and central districts. The research was done by the "combined research" method where quantum and qualitative methods were used together. The research was conducted with a total of 51 and 576 employees, including micro-scale 32, small-scale 13, medium-scale six. In the analysis of data, the arithmetic average, percentage, frequency, standard deviation, multi-linear regression techniques were used. According to the research, the level of education for women in the service sector is higher than the level of education for men. Women and men with a high level of education work in the service sector, while workers with a low level of education find employment in the industry. In the industry, the graduation of a bachelor’s degree and in the service sector, the preliminary bachelor’s degree and the graduation of a bachelor’s degree have an impact on the salary level. Although they have the same level of education, women workers receive less monthly wages than men. The factor most influential on the monthly wage of women workers is the level of education, while the level of education, age, the sector employed, the year of work and the work changes made in men have been found to have an impact on the level of wage.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of education and wage level of the employees working in the industrial and service sector registered in KOSGEB database in Afyonkarahisar province and its central districts. The research is a method of “mixed research” in which both quantitative and qualitative methods are used together. The study was carried out with 51 enterprises and 576 employees, 32 of which were micro-scale, 13 of which were small-scale, and six of them were medium-sized enterprises. In the analysis of the data, arithmetic average, percentage, frequency, standard deviation, multiple linear regression model were used. According to the results of the study, the level of education of the female employees in the service sector is higher than that of the male employees. The male and female employees with a high level of education find employment in the service sector and those with low levels of education find employment in the industry sector. It has been found out that graduation in the industry sector has an effect on the wage level of associate and undergraduate graduates in the service sector. Despite having the same level of education, female employees earn less monthly wages than male employees. While the most effective factor was the level of education on the monthly wage of the female employees, it was found that the level of education, age, sector of study, year of work and the variables of the work done on male employees were effective on the wage level.
