Araştırmada öğretmen ve yönetici görüşlerini göz önünde bulundurarak okul müdürlerinin okul kültürünü gerçekleştirme düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmada genel tarama yöntemi kullanılmış olup ölçme aracı araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan “Okul Müdürünün Okul Kültürüne Etkisi Ölçeği”dir. İstanbul İl’i Kâğıthane İlçesi’nde görevli 24 yönetici ve 220 öğretmen araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Bu öğretmen ve yöneticilerden anket yolu ile bilgiler toplanmıştır. Anket uygulamaları bizzat araştırmacı tarafından, öğretmen ve yöneticiler rastgele seçilerek gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anketler, öncesinde gerekli açıklamalar ve araştırmanın gizliliği konusunda bilgi verilerek katılımcılara uygulanmıştır. Eksik ya da hatalı doldurulan anketler değerlendirilmeye alınmamıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 25.0 programı ile değerlendirilmiştir. Yönetici ve öğretmenlerin, okul müdürünün okul kültürü alt boyutlarına yönelik görüşleri belirlemek üzere, ölçek verileri normal dağılıma uygunluk göstermediğinden nonparametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların cinsiyetine göre Okul Kültürüne Etki Ölçeği alt boyutlarından alınan toplam puanları arasındaki farkı incelemek amacıyla Mann-Whitney U testi; yaş grubu, öğrenim durumu, mezun olanan okul ve mesleki kıdem durumlarına göre Okul Kültürüne Etki Ölçeği alt boyutlarından alınan toplam puanları arasındaki farkı incelemek amacıyla Kruskall Wallis testi uygulanmıştır. Analizler sonucunda öğretmen ve yöneticilerin, okul müdürünün okul kültürüne etkisine yönelik algıları ile ilgili görüşlerinde farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Yöneticilerin okul müdürünün okul kültürüne etkisini olumlu bulduğu, öğretmenlerin ise yetersiz bulduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda okul içinde okul kültürünün korunması ve geliştirilmesine yönelik çeşitli etkinlik ve eğitim semnerlerinin düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir.
The study aims to determine the levels of school directors realizing the school culture, taking into account the teachers and managers' opinions. The study used the general scan method and the measurement tool is the "School Director's impact measurement on the school culture" created by the researcher. The study was carried out by 24 managers and 220 teachers in the Kâthane District of Istanbul. This information was collected by the teachers and managers through the survey. Survey applications were carried out by the researcher personally, by random selection of teachers and managers. The surveys were implemented to the participants by giving information about the necessary statements and the confidentiality of the research. Missing or incorrectly filled surveys have not been taken into consideration. The data is evaluated with the SPSS 25.0 program. Non-parametric tests have been used to determine the views of managers and teachers of the school director on the school culture subdimensions, as scale data is not suitable for normal distribution. The Mann-Whitney U test was implemented in order to study the difference between the total points obtained from the scale of impact on school culture according to the gender of participants; the Mann-Whitney U test was implemented in order to study the difference between the total points obtained from the scale of impact on school culture according to the age group, study status, graduate school and occupational status. Analysis found differences in the views of teachers and managers on the perceptions of the school director’s impact on the school culture. It is determined that managers find the impact of the school director on the school culture positive, while teachers find it insufficient. In this context, various activities and educational seminars are recommended for the preservation and development of school culture within the school.
The research is aimed to determine the level of realization of school culture by school principals, taking into account the opinions of teachers and administrators. A general screening method was used in the research and the measurement tool is the "Scale of the Effect of the School Principal on School Culture" created by the researcher. 24 administrators and 220 teachers working in Kağıthane District of Istanbul Province formed the sample of the research. Information was collected from these teachers and administrators through questionnaires. Questionnaire applications were carried out by the researcher himself, by randomly selecting teachers and administrators. The questionnaires were administered to the participants by providing necessary explanations and information about the confidentiality of the research beforehand. Incomplete or incorrectly filled questionnaires were not taken into consideration. The data obtained were evaluated with the SPSS 25.0 program. In order to determine the opinions of administrators and teachers about the school culture sub-dimensions of the school principal, nonparametric tests were used since the scale data did not conform to the normal distribution. The Mann-Whitney U test was used to examine the difference between the total scores obtained from the sub-dimensions of the School Culture Impact Scale according to the gender of the participants; Kruskall Wallis test was applied to examine the difference between the total scores obtained from the School Culture Impact Scale sub-dimensions according to age group, education level, graduated school and professional seniority. As a result of the analysis, differences in the views of teachers and administrators regarding the perception of the school principal's influence on school culture were determined. It was determined that the administrators found the school principal's effect on the school culture positive, while the teachers found it insufficient. In this context, it is recommended to organize various activities and training seminars for the preservation and development of school culture within the school.
