Abstract:

The study aims to determine the level in which students of 6th, 7th and 8th classes show environmentally responsible citizen behavior and whether these behaviors show significant differences according to the various variables. The research has used a screening model. The data was obtained through the Environmental Responsible Citizen Behavior Scale developed by researchers. The study was attended by 12 students studying in the primary school in Eskişehir province center in 2007. The analysis of the obtained data used frequency, arithmetic average, unrelated samples t-test and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA). The research finds that primary school students have environmentally responsible citizen behavior at a medium level. It has also been concluded that the level of environmentally responsible citizen behavior of primary school students has a significant difference in terms of class, academic success, participation in an environmental event, and becoming an eco-school student.
