Background: The effective communication skills is an important part of becoming a good physician. Methods: The first year students of Akdeniz University School of Medicine who participate in Problem Based Learning (PBL) module, were asked to fill a questionnaire about PBL which involve learning goals of communication, ethics and primary health care. Results: The students indicated that the PBL module contributed to having on opinion about primary health care structure and services at a rate of 66.4% and 54.4% respectively. PBL module was found useful by 67.0% of the students on understanding of duties of primary health care workers whereas only %15.0 found PBL helping realize the facts of suburban area. PBL module was helpful to see the importance and working settings of primary health care according to 79.1% and 70.8% the stıdents respectively. Patient- physician relationship was thought to be taught well with PBL module by 73.7% of the participants. Conclusion: The result showed that students have positive thoughts about PBL mdule.
