Abstract:

Since the first existence of mankind on Earth, its dimensions, characteristics, materials used, etc. Even if it changes, it is possible to talk about a change and transformation of the complex space perception of the present day from a primitive/primitive space concept. With the influence of political, cultural, technological and social changes in the 1960s, the world of art has also entered into a change. During this period, artists, especially through their new and original productions, have repeatedly questioned every field of plastic art and have made it possible that sometimes impressive, remarkable or disturbing productions appear in the production process/show or in the encounter with the audience. This period has changed both the technical possibilities of the artwork and the perceptions of the space for artists focused on the more active process by changing the perception dimensions within themselves and in their production. These variable meanings loaded on the space can be considered first and foremost as a recording area for the artist and the audience, even as a memory area. Specifically space and memory calls are often used by contemporary artists. All of these products are characteristic of changing living conditions, increasing population, cultural diversity, etc. The concepts of city and city focused on the topics are among the dynamic topics of contemporary art. The main theme of memory in the artist's productions and in the context of the meeting of these productions with the audience in the process focused on the past, now and the future draws the attention of contemporary artists. In this regard, when assessed as a memory space, the academic/artist Naile Çevik, who focuses on the city event/theme and is in the interdisciplinary process in the production related to this subject and the original individual applications in the printing works of Zeliha Kayahan attracted attention from the production in the city-specific.
