Abstract:

This paper is based on the research conducted in order to explore reflections of distance education in Covid-19 pandemic process on various members of the Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University. Students, research assistants and lecturers are participants of the study as the main members of the university and users of distance education system. The research focuses on each participant’s own phenomenological experience in this process. Pandemic period and distance education are the common phenomenon of all the participants; however, each group and participant has experienced this process from a different situation. It is seen that for students, geographical/regional factors, family’s socio-economic conditions, gender roles in the family and the meaning and significance are deterministic elements. Lecturers and research assistants emphasize on elements such as decrease in job satisfaction and increase in the risks of education.
