Abstract:

As audio and visual language teaching materials, animation films mirror the history, emotions, thoughts and aesthetic structures of societies, apart from reflecting popular culture and art. The 2014 Turkish-made "Evliya Çelebi-Immortality Water" animated film is an important visual and audio material that can be used while teaching Turkish to foreigners This animated film, which includes many elements specific to Turkish culture and history, can be watched by students with Turkish subtitles. In this research, the animated film "Evliya Çelebi-Immortality Water" was analyzed and evaluated as an audio and visual teaching material within the scope of teaching Turkish as a foreign language. Again, in the research, the "document analysis" method, one of the qualitative research methods, was adopted and the "content analysis" technique was used to collect data. It is thought that the research will contribute to the solution of the teaching material problem, especially in teaching Turkish as a foreign language.
