Göç, insanlık tarihi boyunca var olmuş ve var olacak evrensel bir kavramdır. Bu nedenle her daim araştırılması ve açıklanması gereken toplumsal bir olgudur. Göç olgusunu anlayabilmek için öncelikle bu olgunun ortaya çıkma sebeplerini bilmek gerekmektedir. Göçe sebep olan etmenlerin mekân ve insanlar üzerindeki yansımaları da bu sürecin devamını oluşturmaktadır. Yer değiştirme hareketi insanların içinde bulundukları tarihi koşullara göre farklı türlerin ortaya çıkmasına sebep olmuş ve göç olgusunun dinamik yapısı her geçen gün değişime uğramıştır. Küreselleşme, küresel köy olarak nitelendirebileceğimiz bir dünyayı da beraberinde getirmiştir. İletişim ve ulaşım teknolojilerinin gelişmesi, göç olgusunun mekânsal yayılımını arttırmıştır. Böylece uluslararası göç hareketinde meydana gelebilecek olası etkilerin sadece göç alan ülkede değil, çevre ülkelerde de hissedilmesine sebep olmuştur. Göç, uluslararası bir düzeye yayıldıkça tüm dünyayı ilgilendiren bir olgu olmuş ve ortaya çıkan ekonomik ve sosyo-kültürel yansımalar yaşamın her alanında varlığını hissettirmeye devam etmiştir. Türkiye de 2011 yılından itibaren Suriye’de yaşanan iç savaş sonrasında büyük bir göç akımıyla karşılaşmıştır. Bu göç sebebi ile ortaya çıkan yansımalar seneler geçtikçe daha fazla hissedilmeye başlanmıştır. Bu makaleyle amaçlanan; mevcut araştırmalar doğrultusunda Suriye göçünün ülkemizde meydana getirdiği ekonomik ve sosyo- kültürel yansımaları ortaya koymaktır. Bu yansımaların yerel halkın algısını nasıl etkilediğini tespit etmek öncelikle hedeflenmiştir. Bu kapsamda Suriyeli sığınmacıların göç süreci sonrasında yaşadıkları ekonomik ve sosyo-kültürel zorluklara da yer verilerek, yerli halkla karşılıklı uyum sürecini engelleyen faktörler tespit edilmiştir.

Thus, the possible effects of the international migration movement have been felt not only in the country that has migrated, but also in the surrounding countries. As migration spread to an international level, it has become a phenomenon of interest to the whole world, and the emerging economic and socio-cultural reflections have continued to feel its existence in all areas of life. Turkey has also experienced a massive immigration stream since 2011 after the Civil War in Syria. The reflections that arise due to this immigration have begun to be felt more and more over the years. The aim of this article is to reveal the economic and socio-cultural reflections of the Syrian migration in our country, according to the current research. It is primarily aimed at identifying how these reflections affect the perception of the local people. In this context, the economic and socio-cultural challenges that the Syrian refugees have experienced after the immigration process have also been identified by factors that prevent the process of mutual harmony with the indigenous people.
