Mobilyaların ve mekânların başlangıç ve gelişim sürecine bakıldığında yerleşik düzene geçilmesi ile başladığı görülmektedir. İşleve göre iç mekânın ve mobilyaların biçimlenerek yerleşmesi ise çok sonraki süreçte devreye girmektedir. Yerleşik düzenden önce ateşin yandığı mekân; çalışma, pişirme, yeme ve uyuma mekânı gibi işlevleri barındırabilmekteydi. Bu süreçte mobilya çok kısıtlı bir kesimin sahip olabildiği, sahip olan kişilerin ise yanlarında taşıdıkları ve dolaştırdıkları hareketli öğelerdi. Bu aşamada bahsi geçen düz bir tablanın mekân içindeki sabit kaideler üzerine yerleşmesi ile meydana gelen çalışma veya yemek masası gibi mobilyalardır. Asillerin soyluların, devlet görevlilerinin veya kralların sahip olabildiği o dönemki mobilyalar, günümüzde halen mobilyanın bir statü göstergesi olmasının nedenidir. Halk kesimi de, kendince ürettiği daha basit çevredeki ahşap ve taş gibi malzemelerle üretilmiş, kaba denilebilecek ve işlevin baskın tutulduğu mobilyalar kullanılmaktaydı. Mobilyalar ilk üretildikleri dönemden itibaren, beğeni ve değer öncelikli tutularak üretilmiş ve kimi dönemlerde ise bu statü göstergesi öğelere yapılan harcamalar nedeni ile ülke bütçelerinde sorunlar yaşanmıştır. Günümüzde halen güzel bulduğumuz beğendiğimiz mobilyalar ile iç mekânlarımızı donatmaktayız. Mobilya iletişim özelliği sayesinde kullanıldığı dönemin değerlerini, malzeme teknolojilerini ve üretim-yapım tekniklerini toplumun sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik yapısını bizlere aktarmaktadır. Bir çeşit geçmiş dönemlere ait veri bankası özelliği taşımaktadırlar. Mekân mobilya ilişkisi bu aşamalardan geçerek günümüze gelmiş toplumsal, sosyal, kültürel hareketlerle biçimlenmiş, teknoloji ile beslenerek gelişmiş ve günümüzde her kesimin bütçesine uygun çeşitli alternatifleri ile ulaşabileceği ihtiyaçlarına ve beğenisine göre seçebildiği bir öğe haline gelmiştir. Mobilya öğesinin biçimlendirilmesi, iç mekân içindeki yerleşimi, konumu ve diğer mobilyalarla kuracağı ilişki birer kompozisyon kurgusu oluşturmaktadır. İç mekânın tasarımında işlev ve gerekleri konumlandırıldıktan sonraki aşama kullanıcının ihtiyaçlarını-eylemlerini karşılayacak ve onu destekleyecek mobilyaların seçimidir. Kompozisyonun bir öğesi olan mobilyaların aynı şekilde ana hizmet eylemleri öncelikli biçimlendiriliş nedenleridir. Temelde her eşyanın veya mobilyanın var olma nedeni bir ihtiyaca cevap vermektir. Mobilyalar, mekân içindeki kompozisyonun biçimlendirici ve tamamlayıcı öğeleridir. Bu düzenleme aşamasında kullanılabilecek yöntemler ve kompozisyon türleri bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Kütle, kütleler kompozisyonu, benzer ve farklı kütleler ile oluşturulabilecek kompozisyon türleri, tasarım ilkelerinin önderliğinde kazandırdığı kurgusal etkiler, mobilya-mobilya ve mobilya mekân ilişkileri üzerinden aktarılmaktadır.
It appears that furniture and spaces start with the beginning and development process. The work of the interior and the furniture is formed and operated in the very subsequent process. Today, we are still equipped with the furniture that we like. The furniture communication feature transmits to us the values of the time it is used, material technologies and production-building techniques, the social, cultural and economic structure of the society. They carry a type of data banking feature of past periods. The space furniture relationship has passed through these stages and has been formed by today’s social, social, cultural movements, developed by technology, and today each section can be selected according to its needs and desires with various alternatives in accordance with its budget. The formation of the furniture element, the settlement in the interior, the location and the relationship that will be established with other furniture forms a composition philosophy. The methods and types of composition that can be used in this arrangement phase are the subject of this study. The mass, the composition of the masses, the composition types that can be created with similar and different masses are transmitted through the fictional effects obtained under the leadership of the design principles, the relationships between furniture and furniture and furniture space.

It is like a database of past periods. The space-furniture relationship has been shaped by the social and cultural movements that have come to the present day through these stages, developed by feeding with technology, and today it has become an element that every segment can choose according to their needs and tastes with various alternatives suitable for their budget. The shaping of the furniture element, its placement in the interior, its location and the relationship it will establish with other furniture constitute a composition setup. The next step in the design of the interior is the selection of furniture that will support the needs and actions of the user after the functions and requirements are located. Furniture, which is an element of the composition, is also the primary reasons for shaping the main service actions. Basically, the reason why every item or furniture exists is to answer a need. Furniture are the formative and complementary elements of the composition in the space. The methods and composition types that can be used in this arrangement stage are the subject of this study. Mass, composition of masses, types of composition that can be created with similar and different masses are conveyed through the fictional effects gained under the leadership of design principles, furniture-furniture and furniture-space relations.
