Abstract:

This study aims to identify the views of high school students on remote education applied during the COVID-19 pandemic process. The researchers designed according to the situation study pattern of the quality research methods have been formed by 55 high school students who continue to study in different provinces of Turkey. The data of the study was collected through the "semi-configured interview form" prepared by the researchers. The data obtained was analyzed through content analysis. The data of the study was studied under five subjects. The study found that participants had positive and negative views on the distance learning process in terms of learning/learning environment and discipline, course time, sensual characteristics and feedback. Participants have been determined to have positive and negative opinions about the student-learer communication in the distance learning process, the suitability of distance learning to the biology course and the change of their tasks and responsibilities in the distance learning process. In addition, the study found that participants had more suggestions for question-solving, detailed narrative, time-to-time setting and training within the service to be able to perform the distance learning process effectively and efficiently.
