Although the studies have shown that immune mechanisms play a role in pathogenesis, the ethology is not accurately known. Many clinical and morphological types of the disease are defined, including mucous, cutanus, genital, actinic, hypertrophic, vesiculobulosis, anular, atrophic, ulcerative, invers, guttat, etc. Three facts that apply to our clinic and in the first glance the clinical appearance is presented not primarily considering the liken plan but the histopathological findings are considered as liken planus. As the Liken planus can come to us in different clinical and morphological appearances, we think that the Liken plan should be taken into account in such cases. Lichen planus is an itchy, benign inflammatory skin disorder that involves skin, skin appendix and mucous membranes. Although many studies support immunologic mechanisms in pathogenesis, etiology is unknown. Different clinical and morphological forms of lichen planus such as mucosal, cutaneous, actinic, hypertrophic, vesiculobullous, mothers, atrophic, ulcerative, inverse, guttat types are described. In this report, we present three patients diagnosed as lichen planus with histopathological findings whose clinical apperances do not resemble lichen planus at initial examination. Since lichen planus may have different clinical apperances, we suggest that it is important to remember lichen planus in such cases as presented.
