Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the views of teachers who work in the 4-6 Years Qur’an courses of the Presidency of the Dianet Affairs by identifying the 4-6 Years Qur’an course program. The pre-school period, which contains the ground and critical points of the individual's religious development process, has a special place for religious education studies. But the formal consideration of the religious education to be given in this period is a very late date in our country’s education history – according to other educational stages. Religious education for children in the pre-school period, the Dianet Four-Six-Year Qur'an Course Program was officially presented for the first time with the implementation of the 2013-2014 educational-learning year as a tenth province pilot - the next year in all of Turkey - for the first time. The data obtained from the program’s implementation experience is important to improve the quality of the program. The difficulty of children between the ages of 4-6 to discover the world of mind and to get reflective statements on any subject makes the observations and opinions of teachers implementing this program an important source of information. The focus group meeting was held in December 2018 with 27 teachers working in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, building this importance. The teachers’ opinions about their professional skills and the courses they perform are assessed under the specific topics.
