Abstract:

Students' inconsistency is one of the greatest obstacles to achieving targeted outcomes in education. Children who are fully involved in school life with their academic and social aspects are less likely to face disadvantages, such as leaving school, as well as more successful. To fight this phenomenon, which occurs as a missing of at least 10% of a school year and is expressed as chronic uninterruption, we need broadly planned and implemented interventions from individual to society. In fact, it is predicted that the situations that create continuity occur in a structure that extends from individual to society and even to culture. The practices that will be continuously fighting for children in the basic education period can be developed at school, regional or national level as well as the adaptation of international practices to the Turkish educational system. This study aims to study examples of international applications that fight chronic impairment in the perspective of Bronfenbrenner’s ecological system approach. The approach is based on the programs developed in countries fighting school continuity and the results of the implementation of these programs.
