The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of teachers who work in primary schools about the teacher's autonomy in terms of various variables. For this purpose, the general scan model was preferred from quantum research methods. The sample of the study consists of 614 teachers who have been determined by simple, unselected sample and served in the Nizip district of Gaziantep. The data of the study was collected using the "Teacher Autonomy Scale" developed by Çolak and Altınkurt (2017) with the personal information form prepared by the researchers. The study used statistical analyses such as t-test, one-way variance (ANOVA) to determine the levels of authentic perception of teachers, along with statistical analyses such as arithmetic average, standard deviation, to determine the differentiation between groups. The research has found that teachers have a high level of self-conception and there are significant differences according to age, educational status, school level, age and industry. According to these findings, it may be recommended that teachers' perceptions of autonomy may vary according to their personal characteristics and that this situation should be taken into account in the policies to be determined in the context of the teacher's autonomy.
