Üstün Yetenekli Tanısı Almış Öğrencilerin Akranları ile Karşılaştırıldığı Lisansüstü Çalışmaların Tematik İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı üstün yetenekliler alanında yapılan çalışmalardan üstün yetenekli tanısı almış öğrencilerin akranlarıyla karşılaştırıldığı lisansüstü çalışmaların tematik olarak incelenmesidir. Araştırmada YÖK (Ulusal Tez Merkezi) veri tabanında kayıtlı ve 1995-2019 yılları arasında hazırlanmış olan lisansüstü çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmada kriterlere uygun olan 5 doktora ve 40 yüksek lisans tezi incelenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden belge/doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Lisansüstü çalışmaların düzeyleri, hangi yıllarda yapıldıkları, yöntemleri, konuları, üniversiteleri, tez danışman unvanları, izin durumları ve sonuçları gibi bilgiler araştırmanın bulgularını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, lisansüstü çalışmaların genellikle eğitim alanında yapıldığı, yöntem olarak genelde nicel araştırma yönteminin benimsendiği, düzeylerinin ise yüksek oranda yüksek lisans olduğu ve 2005 yılından sonra önemli bir artış gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen veriler ışığında üstün yetenekliler konusunun eğitim, psikoloji dışında da farklı alanlar tarafından çalışılmaya başlanması, üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin akranları ile karşılaştırıldıkları lisansüstü çalışmalarda doktora düzeyinde çalışmaların artırılması, üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin akranları ile karşılaştırıldıkları lisansüstü çalışmalarda karma yöntemlerin daha çok kullanılması önerileri getirilmektedir.

The Thematic Review of Graduate Studies Compared with Co-workers of Higher Talented Students

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to thematically study the postgraduate studies compared to the colleagues of students who have received the highest-talent recognition from the studies carried out in the field of superior skills. The study has studied graduate studies registered in the database of the YÖK (National Thesis Center) and prepared between 1995-2019. This study has studied 5 doctoral and 40 master theses that meet the criteria. The research methods of document/document examination have been used. The data of the research was carried out using the content analysis technique. The levels of postgraduate studies, in which years they are done, methods, subjects, universities, thesis consultant titles, permits and results form the findings of research. According to the research results, graduate studies are usually conducted in the field of education, the method is usually adopted as a quantitative research method, and their levels are high in the degree and show a significant increase after 2005. In light of the data obtained by the research, the topics of superior talents are educated, the start of the study by different fields in addition to psychology, the increase in the study at the doctoral level in the postgraduate studies compared to the colleagues of superior talents, the use of more combined methods in the postgraduate studies compared to the colleagues of superior talents.

The aim of this research is to examine postgraduate studies comparatively with the peers of gifted students from the studies on gifted students. In the research, postgraduate studies registered in YÖK (National Thesis Center) database and prepared between 1995-2019 were examined. In this research, 5 doctoral and 40 master's theses that meet the criteria have been examined. Document / document review technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The data of the research was carried out using the content analysis technique. The findings of the research such as the levels of graduate studies, the years in which they were conducted, the methods, subjects, universities, title of the thesis advisor, permission status and results. According to the results of the research, it is determined that postgraduate studies are generally carried out in the field of education, quantitative research method has been adopted as a method, and their levels are highly graduate and have increased significantly after 2005. In the light of the data obtained as a result of the research, it is proposed to start studying the subject of gifted students by different fields other than education, psychology, to increase the level of doctorate studies in postgraduate studies in which gifted students are compared with their peers, and to use mixed methods in postgraduate studies where gifted students are compared with their peers.
