Abstract:

The aim of this study is to develop an inventory to determine teachers' perceptions on the factors that make differentiation of instruction difficult. The study was conducted with 320 teachers. In the study, a five-point Likert-type inventory form with 45 items was prepared. As a result of Exploratory Factor Analysis, the inventory exhibited a 33-item six-factor structure and explained 62.968% of the total variance. As a result of Confirmatory Factor Analysis conducted with 272 teachers, 33 items and 6-factor structure obtained by exploratory factor analysis were confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis. Cronbach Alpha values to determine the reliability of the inventory were found 0.89 for the first factor, 0.85 for the second factor, 0.92 for the third factor, 0.80 for the fourth factor, 0.81 for the fifth factor, and 0.85 for the sixth factor. These values show that the inventory is a valid and reliable data collection tool
