Abstract:

The social gender perception is the expression of the thoughts on the patterns and judgments on which the biological differences are based but which include the understanding of women and men that the society has produced rather than the biological formation of the person. Education and teachers are important to prevent gender discrimination and to resolve the problem. Therefore, in the research, one of the important institutions that influence the perception of gender of individuals, the educational institution has addressed social information teachers, which are the transmitter of equality achievement and value. The purpose of the research is to study the social gender perceptions of social information teachers. The research is designed by the scanning model and the data is depicted on the basis of a quantum method. The examples of the study are made up of 144 social information teachers who work in public and private high schools in the Fishesir province. Participants are identified by the appropriate sample method. The participants were used the "Social Gender Perception Scale" developed by Altınova and Duyan in 2013. The "Personal Information Form" in the study was developed by researchers. The data was analyzed by percentage, average, t-test and ANOVA. The average perception of social gender of teachers is x̄=101,06. According to the results of the study, social information has found that the influence of teachers on social gender perceptions is gender, monthly income, the family structure in which they grow up and the form of family management in which they grow up.
