Abstract:

The purpose of the study was to examine the moral and motivation levels of the Turkish nation, the Turkish army, and the Turkish Grand National Assembly during the Great Offensive and the Field Battle of the Commander-in-Chief. Undoubtedly, the Turkish nation’s levels of moral and motivation were also among the determining factors as much as the military and political ones in winning the Turkish War of Independence. It is necessary to express that the Turkish nation acted in dedication consciousness, the Turkish army fought with a heightened spirit, and the Turkish Grand National Assembly carried out the duty with a great sense of responsibility in this struggle. It is a requirement to look at the meaning of the relevant expressions of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk to understand the levels of moral and motivation of the period. In this respect, in this study, it was tried to reflect the spirit of the Turkish nation by giving particular importance to views and ideas about the Great Offensive and Great Victory expressed by Atatürk both in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and on various occasions. The main sources of the study were the Great Speech (Nutuk), periodicals, The Official Records of Grand National Assembly of Turkey, speech and statements of Atatürk, and notes and telegraphs of Atatürk.
