Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify the opinions of teachers about the function of organizational rumors in their schools. The universe of the research consists of 7600 teachers who worked in the province of Batman in the 2019-2020 educational and teaching year. 340 teachers, selected from this universe by a simple random (unselected) method, are the sample of the research. The data of the research was obtained using the Organizational Dedikode Scale developed by Han and Mountain (2018) . For statistical analysis of data; frequency and percentage, average, standard deviation, t-Test, ANOVA test were used. The average views of teachers on the dimensions of the organizational rumor; I partially agree with the extent of being aware, I do not agree with the extent of developing relationships and I agree with the extent of organizational damage. There was no significant difference between the development of relationships from the lower dimensions of organizational rumor and the size of organizational damage according to the age of teachers. But in the extent of the rumor being aware, the opinions of the teachers have been significantly differentiated according to the age variation. According to the educational conditions of the teachers in the organizational damage size, functionally meaningful differences have been identified in their opinions on the function of the organizational rumor. Organizational rumors Graduate teachers have the view that graduate teachers are functionally higher than organizational damage size.
