İsimler millî kültürün önemli değerlerinden biridir. Kişi veya mekânların isminin anlamı, veriliş nedeni ve şekli mensup olduğu millet hakkında önemli ipuçları vermektedir. İsimler dilin imkânları dâhilinde bir kavramın, bir kişinin tüm özelliklerini kapsayacak şekilde konulmaktadır. Şahıs isimleri, gerek konuluş şekilleri gerekse verilen ismin seçimi konusunda Türk kültüründe daima önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Türk dünyasında da hem isim koyma gelenekleri hem de konulacak ismin seçiminde etkili olan hususlarda tarih boyunca farklılıklar olduğu gözlemlenmektedir. Bu farklılıkların en temel sebepleri tarih boyunca değişiklik gösteren dinî, siyasi ve kültürel etmenlerdir. Şahıs isimleri bir milletin kültürünü yansıttığı kadar o milletin hangi kültürlerle etkileşime girdiğinin öğrenilmesine de yardımcı olan unsurlardandır. Kazan Tatar Türklerinin, İdil Ural bölgesinde 400 yılı aşkın süre boyunca Rus gölgesi altında yaşayan bir Türk topluluğu olduğu göz önüne alındığında Kazan Tatar isimlerinin incelenmesiyle Rus kültüründen etkilenmelerin olup olmadığı konusunda bilgi sahibi olmak mümkün olabilecektir. Günümüze ulaşan kültürel miras ürünleri halk hafızası işlevi görmektedir. Sosyal, siyasi, tarihî, coğrafi kaynak olmasının yanı sıra dilin en kuvvetli yansıtıcılarının sözlü, yazılı kültür ürünleri olması nedeniyle dilin gelişimini takip ederken de kültürel soyut ve somut miras ürünlerine başvurulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, bir milletin kültürel yapısını, dünya görüşünü, yaşam felsefesini anlamak için başvurulacak unsurlardan biri olan kişi isimleri, Tatar Türklerinde İslâmiyet öncesi ve sonrası dönemde daima kıymetli bir yer tutmuş kadınlar temelinde ele alınmaktadır. Tarih boyunca çeşitli sosyal, siyasi, etnik baskılara maruz kalmış, farklı milletlerle bir arada yaşamış ve yaşamak zorunda kalmış olan Kazan Tatar Türklerinin bir ölçüde yaşadıkları tarihi, kültürü yansıtan kadın isimlendirmeleri, İslam dini, renk isimleri, hayvan isimleri, bitki ve meyve isimleri etkisi çerçevesinde tasnif edilerek incelenmektedir. Ayrıca Kazan Tatar kültüründe ad verilme sebeplerine de değinilmektedir. Yapılan çalışmada Kazan Tatar kadın isimlendirmelerinde baskın unsur olarak inançların ve sosyal koşulların etkili olduğu görülmektedir.
The names are one of the important values of the national culture. The name of the person or place gives important clues about the people to whom the cause of giving and shape belongs. The names are placed in the possibilities of the language in such a way that a concept covers all the characteristics of a person. The name of the person has always had an important place in the Turkish culture in the choice of the name given if necessary. In the Turkish world, there are also differences throughout the history in both the traditions of naming and the aspects that influence the choice of the name to be placed. The main causes of these differences are religious, political and cultural factors that have changed throughout history. The personal names are as much as they reflect the culture of a nation as they help to learn which cultures that people interact with. Considering that Kazan Tatar Turks are a Turkish community living under the Russian shadow for more than 400 years in the Idil Ural region, the study of the Kazan Tatar names will be possible to find out whether they have been influenced by the Russian culture. Today’s cultural heritage works as a public memory. In addition to being a social, political, historical, geographical source, as well as the strongest reflectors of the language are verbal, written cultural products, the development of the language is also applied to cultural abstract and concrete heritage products. In this study, the names of persons, which are one of the elements to be applied to understand the cultural structure of a nation, the world view, the philosophy of life, are discussed on the basis of women who have always held a valuable place in the Tatar Turkish pre- and post-Islamic period. Names are one of the important values of a national culture. Meanings of names of people or places, the reason of naming, and the form of the name give important clues about the nation to which it belongs. Names are given in a way that covers all the characteristics of a person and a concept within the possibilities of language. Names of individuals have always played an important role in the Turkish culture both in terms of the way of naming and the choice of the given name. In the Turkish world, it is observed that there have been differences throughout the history both in terms of naming traditions and in matters that are effective in the choice of name. The main reasons for these differences are religious, political and cultural factors that have changed throughout history. Names of individuals are important elements which reflect the culture of a nation as well as helping to learn a nation’s interaction with other cultures. Considering that Kazan Tatar Turks are a Turkish community living under the shadow of Russian for more than 400 years in Idil Ural region, it will be possible to have information about whether they are influenced by Russian culture or not by examining the names of Kazan Tatars. Cultural heritage products that have survived to the present day serve as public memory. In addition to being a social, political, historical and geographical resource, since verbal and written cultural products are the most powerful reflectors of a language, cultural abstract and concrete heritage products are used while monitoring the development of the language. In this study, as being one of the elements to be consulted in order to understand the cultural structure, the world view and the philosophy of life of a nation, names of individuals are discussed on the basis of women who have always held a valuable place in Tatar Turks before and after Islam. The Women naming reflecting the culture and history of Tatar Kazan Turks to some extend who have been subjected to various social, political and ethnic pressures throughout history, have lived and had to live together with different nations are analyzed by classification under the effect of Islamic religion, color names, animal names and plant and fruit names. In addition, the reasons for giving names in Kazan Tatar culture are mentioned. In this study, it is seen that beliefs and social conditions are the dominant factors in Kazan Tatar women's naming.
