Ahmet Mithat Efendi gerek roman ve hikâyeleriyle gerek gazeteciliiyle ve gerekse süreli yayınlardaki yazılarıyla edebiyatımızın önemli ve nev’i ahsına münhasır simalarından biridir. Modern Türk edebiyatının kurucularından olan Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin edebi kiili- ini ortaya koymaya ve eserlerini tahlile yönelik birçok çalıma yapılmıtır. Özlem Nemutlu’nun kaleme aldıı Ahmet Mithat Efendi’nin Kütüphanesi- Hikâye ve Romanlarında Okuma Eylemi, bu çalımalara yapılan deerli bir katkıdır.
