Abstract:

In this study, the words "galat" or "galatât" in the work of Shemseddin Sami's Kamus-i Türkî, which has an important place in the Turkish dictionary tradition, will be studied in a form and meaningful way. In the dictionaries, the word galat, which comes to meanings such as "feat, mistake, mistake, mistake, mistake, sehiv: galat; galat to say and to write, is included in the dictionaries with these expressions. The Arabic word Galat is in the form of "galatât". In the modern dictionary tradition, the expressions that the dictionaries think as the galat term can be defined as "the word or word structures that pass from a language to a form (morphem) and meaning (meaning) change." The Kamus, which is prepared in the framework of linguistic (language) and philological methods, is Turkish, the Ottoman Turkish as an etymological dictionary, as well as Western languages (French, Italian, etc.) And the existence of the words that have passed from Arabic to our language is in a manner that can not be underestimated. We see some of these words in the form of language errors (galat). For example, "mother, milk, rubber, wood, bulgur, cehîz, acuze, abras, hambar, afacan, trans, fire, extraction, bear, single, pleasure" are some of the words that pass in the gallat form. We can also describe some of the galates that are wrong, and some of the galates that are everywhere accepted as "galat-i leghûr", and some of the words that are not in any way suitable for use as "galat-i fâhiş". In this work that will be conducted in Kamus-i Turkî will work towards the identification of the gallates, including the material head and the material gallates.
