Bu makalede, İbn Kuteybe’nin Te’vîlü müşkili’l-Kur’ân adlı eseri Kur’ân savunusu perspektifinden ele alınmıştır. Konu, daha ziyade nüzûl dönemi sonrasına ait süreçle ilişkilidir. Aslında eserin muhtevasını oluşturan meseleler, Kur’ân’ın mushaf haline getirilişinden itibaren çeşitli eserlerde dağınık bir şekilde ele alınmaya başlanmıştır. İbn Kuteybe, ilgili birikimi daha derli toplu hale getirmiş; yaşadığı dönemin öne çıkan konularıyla harmanlamıştır. Mevcut şekliyle eser, bir yönüyle dönemin tefsir anlayışını yansıtırken diğer yönüyle de sonraki dönemlerde ulûmu’l-Kur’ân veya tefsir usûlü olarak şekillenecek eserlerin adeta omurgasını oluşturmaktadır. Dolayısıyla eserde ele alındığı şekliyle konular, bazı içerik ve sınıflama değişikliğine uğrasa da başlangıcından bugüne değin aslında bir yönüyle ulûmu’l-Kur’ân, bir yönüyle de Kur’ân müdafaasıdır. Bunun içindir ki makalede, ilgili esere, bugün zihinlerde kodlu olan yapısıyla “tefsir” kitabı yanında ulûmu’l-Kur’ân içeriğiyle de yaklaşılması gerektiğine özellikle vurgu yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, önce meselenin ulûmu’l-Kur’ân boyutuna işaret edilmiş, sonra İbn Kuteybe’nin konulara yaklaşım şekli Kur’ân müdafaası açısından analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Makalede, İbn Kuteybe’nin yaşadığı dönem ve yazdığı diğer eserler dikkate alınmakla beraber Te’vîlü müşkili’l-Kur’ân isimli eseri esas alınmıştır.
In this article, Ibn Qutayba's work named Taʾwīl Mushkil al-Qurʾān is discussed from the perspective of the defense of the Qurʾān. The subject is rather related to the post-nuzūl period. In fact, the issues that make up the content of the work have begun to be dealt with in a scattered way in various works since the Qurʾān was turned into a mushaf. Ibn Qutayba made the related knowledge more compact; he blended it with the prominent topics of the period he lived. In its current form, the work reflects the understanding of tafsīr of the period in one way, and forms the backbone of the works that will be shaped as ʿulūm al-Qurʾān or tafsīr method in the next periods, on the other hand. Therefore, although the issues as discussed have undergone some content and classification changes, from the beginning until today, they are actually the ʿulūm al-Qurʾān in one aspect and the defense of the Qurʾān in another aspect. Therefore, in the article, it is emphasized that the relevant work should be approached with the content of the ʿulūm al-Qurʾān rather than the " tafsīr" book, which is coded in minds today. In the study, firstly the ʿulūm al-Qurʾān dimension of the issue was pointed out, and then the approach of Ibn Qutayba to the subjects was tried to be analyzed in terms of Qurʾānic defense. In the article, the period in which Ibn Qutayba lived and the other works he wrote were taken into account, and his work named Taʾwīl Mushkil al-Qurʾān was taken as a basis.
