Bu çalışmada, Türk toplumuna özgü sivil toplumun önemli bir unsuru olarak kabul edilebilecek olan dinî cemaatlerin, 15 Temmuz sonrasında toplumsal algı açısından geçirdiği dönüşümün tarihsel ve sosyolojik temellerine ilişkin kamusal alan kavramı etrafında bir analiz yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla öncelikle, cemaat kavramı kuramsal tartışmalar açısından ele alınmış ve ardından kamusal alanla ilişkisi bağlamında incelenmiştir. Richard Sennett’in “yıkıcı Gemeinschaft (cemaat)” kavramı özellikle Fetullahçı Terör Örgütü’nün (FETÖ) kamusal alanda örgütlenişi konusunda kullanışlı bir kavram olarak değerlendirilmiştir. FETÖ üzerinden diğer dinî cemaatlere tahvil edilen olumsuz algıya ilişkin saha çalışmalarından elde edilen verilere dayanarak, söz konusu durumun Türk toplumu açısından barındırdığı riskler ve yönelimler, kamusal alandaki Batıcı/seküler modernleşmeci paradigma ile muhafazakâr modernleşmeci paradigma arasındaki geçmişten günümüze süren gerilimler ekseninde anlamlandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, dinî cemaatlerin kamusal alan konusunda 15 Temmuz sonrasında yaşaması muhtemel bazı kısıtlanma risklerinin, özellikle dindar/muhafazakâr kesimler açısından bireyleşmeye bağlı olarak ahlâki rölâtivizm, “çoğulcu anlam krizi” ve küresel çağa/düzene denetimsiz bir entegrasyon sürecini beraberinde getirdiği yönünde bir çıkarım yapılmıştır.
In this study, the historical and sociological bases of the transformation of the social perception after the July 15th coup attempt towards religious communities – which can be accepted as a crucial element of the Turkish civil society in its own authenticity – have been analyzed in terms of the concept of “public sphere. In accordance with this purpose, first of all the concept of community reviewed in terms of theoretical discussions and its relations with the public sphere. The concept of "destructive Gemeinschaft (community)" has been revisited as a useful term especially in the context of the rise of the Fetullahist (or Gulenist) Terrorist Organization (FETO) in the public sphere. On the basis of the data derived from the field studies on negatively changed perception towards religious communities due to the FETO, the social risks and the tendencies of the current situation have been tried to be interpreted in terms of the continuing tensions between the Westernist/secular and conservative modernization paradigms in the public sphere. As a result, this study concludes that after July 15th, some potential risks of restriction of the religious communities from the public sphere can bring about the moral relativism, “pluralist crisis of meaning” and an uncontrolled integration into the global age/order especially for the religious/conservative categories of the population depending on increasing individualism.
