Abstract:

This study aims to identify the views of museum experts on the use of museums for educational purposes and to provide recommendations for the more effective use of museums. The study is a qualitative study, and the research is carried out with the design of state study from qualitative research patterns. For this purpose, 9 museums that may be related to the content of the sciences courses in the province of İzmir have been identified and semi-configured conversations with the experts of the museums have been conducted. Imaginary analysis was used in the analysis of the interviews. According to the findings from the analysis of the data, most museum experts believe that the museums are places where the museums help students learn. The museums also find that teachers and students have burocratic and burocratic problems, but the museums have solutions to the problems of teachers and students and have suggestions to address the burocratic problems.
