Antik Yunan felsefesinde insanın ne olduğuna dair düşünceler, genellikle “kendini bil” sözüyle başlatılır. Günümüzde insan doğasına ilişkin felsefi tartışmalar açısından “kendini bil” sözü önemini korumaktadır. Bu söz etrafında geliştirilen felsefi tartışmalar genellikle insanın özü ya da insanın doğası üzerinden yapılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda “insan doğası” kavramı, insanın ne olduğu ve ne olabileceği yönündeki tartışmaların temel dayanağını oluşturmaktadır. İnsan hakkında yapılan felsefi tartışmalar, temel malzemesi insan ve insan yaşamı olan sinema filmlerine de yansımaktadır. Bu bağlamda İspanyol yönetmen Galder Gaztelu – Urrutia imzalı The Platform (2019), insanın ne olduğuna ve ne olabileceğine dair düşünceler etrafında kötümser insan imajları içeren tasvirleriyle felsefi potansiyeli belirgin bir film olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Bu çalışmada insan doğasının niteliğine dair önemli bir felsefi argüman olan “insan insanın kurdudur” sözünü sinematik olanaklarla somutlaştıran The Platform, insan doğasına yönelik söylem üzerinden ele alınmakta ve İngiliz filozof Thomas Hobbes’un “doğa durumu” ve “toplumsal sözleşme” kavramları bağlamında içerik çözümleme tekniği kullanılarak nitel analizle irdelenmektedir.
In ancient Greek philosophy, the thoughts about what man is often begun with the word "know yourself". Today, the word “know yourself” preserves the importance of philosophical discussions about human nature. The philosophical discussions developed around this word are often conducted through the essence of man or the nature of man. In this context, the concept of "human nature" constitutes the fundamental foundation of discussions about what man is and what he can be. The philosophical discussions about man also reflect the film, which is the basic material of human and human life. In this context, the Spanish director Galder Gaztelu - Urrutia signed The Platform (2019) draws attention as a film with a clear philosophical potential with the images of pessimistic human images surrounding the thoughts of what man is and what can be. In this study, the Platform, which concrete the term "man is the human curd" with kinematic possibilities, which is an important philosophical argument on the nature of man, is addressed through a speech towards the human nature and is addressed with quality analysis using the content analysis technique in the context of the British philosopher Thomas Hobbes' "natural state" and "social contract" concepts.
