Bu araştırmanın amacı, dijital vatandaşlık kapsamında öğretmenlere düzenlenen seminerin sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin dijital vatandaşlık becerilerine katkısını incelemektir. Seminer, 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında yapılmıştır. Seminer uygulanması toplam 10 saatlik bir zaman diliminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın yapıldığı grup, Ergani İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü bünyesindeki ortaokullarda çalışan 25 tane sosyal bilgiler öğretmeninin katılımıyla oluşturulmuştur. İlgili sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleri, gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak çalışma grubuna katılmışlardır. Bu araştırmada, deneysel bir yöntem olan “tek gruplu öntest-sontest model” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri, “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile araştırmacının geliştirmiş olduğu “Dijital Vatandaşlık Beceri Ölçeği” çerçevesinde elde edilmiştir. Çalışma grubu üzerinden toplanılan verilerin analizi, SPSS programından faydalanılarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesi aşamasında Wilcoxon İşaretli Sıralar Testi’nden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, gerçekleştirilen seminerin dijital vatandaşlığın bütün alt boyutlarında (okuryazarlık, ticaret, güvenlik, hak ve sorumluluklar, sağlık, etik, kanun, iletişim ve erişim) sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin dijital vatandaşlık becerilerinin geliştirilmesi sürecinde bir bilinç ve farkındalık elde etmeye yardımcı olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçtan hareketle, sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin dijital vatandaşlık becerilerinin geliştirilmesine ilişkin hizmet içi eğitim çalışmalarının yapılması yaygınlaştırılabilir.
The purpose of this research is to examine the contribution of the social information teachers to the digital citizenship skills of the seminar to teachers within the framework of digital citizenship. The seminar was held in the 2016-2017 educational year. The seminar was conducted in a total of 10 hours. The group in which the study was carried out was formed with the participation of 25 social information teachers working in the middle schools within the Ergani Provincial National Education Directorate. Related social information teachers have joined the work group on the basis of the essence of volunteering. In this study, a experimental method was used as a "single-group pre-test-sontest model". The data of the study was obtained in the framework of the "Digital Citizenship Skills Scale" which the researcher developed with the "Personal Information Form". The analysis of the data collected through the work group was done using the SPSS program. In the analysis phase of data, the Wilcoxon Signed sequence test was used. The study found that the seminar conducted in all subdimensions of digital citizenship (learning, trade, security, rights and responsibilities, health, ethics, law, communication and access) teachers to gain awareness and awareness in the process of developing digital citizenship skills. From this outcome, social information teachers’ digital citizenship skills can be developed in the field of service training.
