Abstract:

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE: So far, studies have shown that the number of thrombocytes and leukocytes in the blood of healthy people and patients with coronary artery disease affects the aggregation of thrombocytes. The aim of our study was to investigate whether there is a relationship between trombocyt aggregation and the number of leukocytes and trombocytes in recent periods of renal failure in patients who performed peritonal dialysis. Method and Requirements: Thirty-three peritonal dialytic patients were included in the study. The method of multiple electrots aggregometry was used to measure the total blood trombocyt aggregation. The correlation between the trombocyt aggregation and the number of trombocytes and leukocytes in the full blood count was statistically significantly positive. This positive correlation was stronger in thrombocytes than leukocytes. TROMBOSITS AND RESULTATES: The importance of the number of thrombocytes and leukocytes in the full blood count on the thrombocyt aggregation in peritonal dialytic patients may be. This situation can be an additional factor contributing to the increased risk of thrombosis in patients.
