Abstract:

In each developed or developing country, there are differences in development between the regions that occur due to various reasons, primarily by geographical factors. Of course, the distribution of natural resources is not the same in every region, and there are differences in human elements as well. In this context, the countries are on the way to implement various planning and development movements to minimize the differences in socio-economic development between their regions. The situation on a global scale applies to Turkey. In fact, the majority of the industrial facilities are located primarily in the western half of our country, including the Marmara region. The eastern Anadolu region is the region with the lowest industrial investment. Unfortunately, this picture leads to regional imbalances and brings with it migration from areas where the industry is insufficient to advanced areas. In removing these imbalances, organized industrial areas are seen as one of the important tools. Thus, it is intended to direct the infrastructure of industrial investments in the remaining regions of the country to those areas that are ready. The organized industrial areas are attracting the attention of the manufacturer because of the advantages it has provided and in economically behind-the-country areas it enables the establishment and development of the industry. Organized Industrial Areas are areas that are usually made up of small and medium-sized enterprises and where cooperation and coordination between enterprises. More efficient production is the place where goods and services equipped with various social facilities and tech parks are produced, which are more affordable than the dispersed infrastructure services on the ground created in accordance with a plan. In these areas where the industry is aimed at organized development, it is also provided facility in the use of infrastructure services as well as cheap land supply and state incentives. One of the Organized Industrial Areas designed for planned industrial movements in our country is also located in Erzincan. In this study, the current state of the Erzincan Organized Industrial Region, which is an important place in the province economy, and the solutions to these problems are proposed to be examined from the point of view of the industrial geography.
