Abstract:

In this study, it is intended to identify whether the texts in the first-class fourth-class Turkish curriculum include examples of critical thinking criteria. Therefore, the study has been used as a quality approach. The data source of the research is the fourth class Turkish book of the Doku Publications, which was accepted as a curriculum for a period of five years, starting from the 2013-2014 academic year with the date of 26 December 2012 and the decision of 225 of the National Ministry of Education and Education Council, and was taught in the 4th class of primary schools in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the selection of the sample, the research design was gone to the way of sample for layer purposes. In the analysis of the data, the visual analysis approach was used. Critical thinking criteria in this direction have been treated as categories, these categories have been developed with codes that explain. According to the study, in the text chosen from the themes of the curriculum examined, examples of critical thinking criteria are generally referred to in clarity, importance and depth/breadth criteria, but examples of accuracy, qualification and accuracy criteria are partially referred to.
