Abstract:

After the changes made in 2015, MEB re-updated the Turkish Teaching Program in 2018 and a number of arrangements have been made in this scope. The learning fields were extended from three to four and added to the AYÇ (European Qualifications Framework) according to the TYÇ (Turkey Qualifications Framework) and some innovations such as creative reading were included in the program. Although the 2018 Turkish Curriculum provides information on topics such as basic skills, values education, measurement and evaluation and guidance, there is no information about the basic philosophy and vision of the program. The program has not included any detailed statements like the 2005 program. Identifying the opinions of class teachers in the position of the program's implementer in this scope will contribute to the observation of the positive and negative aspects of the program and the making of the necessary changes. In this context, the purpose of the research is to determine the opinions of class teachers on the 2018 Turkish Teaching Program. In the framework of the study prepared with the qualification research design, opinions were taken with an open end question form from 52 class teachers and these opinions were analyzed by the analysis of the content of the class. The open end question form used in the research was prepared by researchers and expert opinions were taken. The data obtained in the study were created by open coding methods and then brought to themes by combining similar codes. The results of the study show that teachers welcome the change of the program positively, that they do not like the changing program and that it is insufficient and that the targeted individual profile in the changing program and the information age will not be reached. It was also found that teachers mixed the guidelines with the program.
