Abstract:

Purpose: This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the strategic management tools of public and private hospitals managers and determining the impact of the levels of use on organizational innovation and evaluating the views of managers on the strategic management tools and the use of organizational innovation.Course and Method: The 12 Ministry of Health Hospitals, which agreed to participate in the research of the universe of this research in Istanbul, was carried out with 102 hospital managers in 15 private hospitals. The data was collected by the face-to-face survey method with a survey form consisting of three sections. The first part of the survey used was the explanations questioning the demographic characteristics of the participants, the second part was the "Organized Innovation Scale", the third part was the "Strategic Management Tools Use and Knowledge Status Assessment Scale".Data were analyzed with the SPSS 25,0 package program.The findings: The research found that the hospital managers who participated in the study were the most informed and the total quality management of the tools they used, social media tools and the internet, mission and vision explanations, the management of customer relations and the use of external resources. The regression analysis and the knowledge of strategic management tools and the use of these tools have a positive and meaningful impact on organizational innovation, the R value is 0.704, and there is a high level of relationship between them. The scale of organizational innovation was also determined that there was a significant difference between the overall score average of managers and the variables of gender, age, task and service year, the scale of knowledge and use of strategic management tools and the scale of score between the variables of gender, learning status, task and service year (p<0,05) and the scale of knowledge and use of strategic management tools. Results: The research found that hospital managers did not have sufficient knowledge about strategic management tools and that their use of these tools was low. The manager’s adoption of the innovation is triggering for innovation.
