Abstract:

The research was conducted to study ways to support creativity in children in the pre-school period. In the study, a comprehensive method (synthetic studies) has been used to study and analyze postgraduate theses in the Turkish field of creativity and creative thinking skills. Without time limit in the study, the objective was to reach the existing studies until May 2018 (1990-2017 years) when the scan of the area was carried out. In order to reach Turkish studies on creativity in the pre-school period, the YÖK Thesis Scanning databases have been scanned. When scanning is done, the keywords are limited to " Early Childhood", "Pre-School", "Creativity" and "Creative Thinking Skills". In the inclusion of the studies achieved as a result of the scan of the area, (a) the study was carried out in Turkey, (b) the publication in the form of a master's and doctoral thesis, (c) the sample of the children in the pre-school period and (d) the criteria of having a full text were taken into account. 70 theses were obtained from the database and the data analysis was done through the subject code resolution. According to data analysis results, methods such as games, drama, music, physical movements, visual arts, relaxation studies, story studies, games in learning centers and the activities offered with the training programs that include all these support routes have been determined.
