TÜRKİYE’DE KARŞILAŞTIRMALI EĞİTİM ALANINDA YAPILMIŞ OLAN LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada karşılaştırmalı eğitim alanında Türkiye’de 2005-2018 yılları arasında yapılmış olan lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma desenine göre yürütülmüş olan çalışmada kullanılan verilere doküman incelemesi yolu ile ulaşılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında yer alan YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanına kayıtlı 217 adet lisansüstü tez, araştırma problemleri doğrultusunda içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılarak çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda karşılaştırmalı eğitim alanında en fazla tezin 2010 yılında yapılmış olduğu; Gazi Üniversitesi, Ankara Üniversitesi ve Marmara Üniversitesi’nin en fazla tezin yapıldığı üniversiteler olduğu ve tezlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun yüksek lisans düzeyinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. İncelenen tezlerde nitel desenin yaygın olarak tercih edildiği ve veri toplama sürecinde çoğunlukla doküman incelemesi tekniğinden yararlanıldığı saptanmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca ABD, Almanya ve İngiltere’nin en fazla karşılaştırma yapılan ülkeler iken öğretim programları ve eğitim sistemlerinin en sık karşılaştırma yapılan konu başlıkları olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Examination of licensed theses in the field of education in Turkey

Abstract:

This study aims to study the graduate theses in Turkey in the field of comparative education between 2005-2018 years. The data used in the study according to the quality research pattern has been obtained through the document examination. The study includes 217 sub-graduate theses registered in the database of the YÖK National Thesis Center, which have been attempted to be solved using the content analysis technique in accordance with research problems. The findings resulted in the fact that the most theses in the field of comparative education were made in 2010; the University of Gazi, the University of Ankara and the University of Marmara were the universities where the most theses were made and the vast majority of the theses were at the master's level. In the examined theses it was found that the quality pattern was widely preferred and that the process of data collection mostly used the technique of document examination. The study also found that the U.S., Germany and the UK are the most compared countries, while the teaching programs and educational systems are the most frequently compared subjects.

In this study it was aimed to analyze the dissertations on comparative education written between 2005 and 2018 in Turkey. The study was conducted in accordance with qualitative design and data used in the study were gathered by document analysis technique. 217 dissertations, registered in Thesis Center, Council of Higher Education were analyzed by use of content analysis in parallel with the research questions. According to the findings, it was found out that the dissertations on comparative education were written in 2010 at the most; Gazi University, Ankara University and Marmara University were the first three universities at where the biggest amount of the dissertations were written and the vast majority of the dissertations were at master level. It was concluded that qualitative design and document analysis technique were commonly used in the dissertations. Also it was seen that USA, Germany and England were the most frequently compared countries while the curricula and education systems were the most favored comparison subjects.
