MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN BİLGİ GÜVENLİĞİ FARKINDALIK DÜZEYLERİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı; Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin bilgi güvenliği farkındalık düzeylerini tespit etmek ve çeşitli değişkenler açısından değerlendirmelerde bulunmaktır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel tarama modeline göre desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi Göksun Meslek Yüksekokulunda öğrenim gören 1621 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örnekleminde ise evrenden basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 240 öğrenci yer almaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Güldüren, Çetinkaya ve Keser (2016) tarafından geliştirilen Bilgi Güvenliği Farkındalık Ölçeği (BGFÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bilgi güvenliği farkındalık ölçeğinin Cronbach Alpha güvenilirlik katsayısı 0,95 olarak hesaplanmıştır (Güldüren, Çetinkaya ve Keser, 2016). Bu çalışmada ise Cronbach Alpha güvenilirlik katsayısı 0,91 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde, frekansları hesaplanmış, bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve Bonferonni anlamlılık çözümleme testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin bilgi güvenliği farkındalık düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

Abstract:

This research aims to identify vocational college students’ information security awareness levels in terms of several variables. Having a survey model design, this study holds a total of 1621 students studying at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Göksun Vocational College. The research sample consists of 240 students selected by the simple random sampling method. Research data have been collected through Information Security Awareness Scale (ISAS) developed by Güldüren, Çetinkaya and Keser (2016). The internal consistency coefficient Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient has been found to be 0.95 for the overall scale (Güldüren, Çetinkaya and Keser, 2016). The total scale’s Cronbach’s alpha reliability coefficient has been re-calculated and determined to be 0.91. The data have been analyzed via frequency values, independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Bonferonni post-hoc test. Research results have revealed that students possess medium level of information security awareness.
