Abstract:

Sosyal medya pazarlaması, sosyal medya sitelerinin kullanımı aracılığıyla işletmelerin pazarlama faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirmesi olarak ortaya çıkmıştır ve tüketicilerin satın alma davranışlarını da etkilemektedir. Bu makalede, üniversite öğrencilerinde sosyal medya kullanım alışkanlıkları ile satın alma davranışları arasındaki ilişkiler üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmada; önce sosyal medya kavramı ele alınmış ve sosyal medyanın tüketici davranışına olan etkilerine ait kaynakça özetlenmiştir. Sosyal medya organlarında gerçekleştirilen ankete dayalı araştırma verilerinin değerlendirildiği bölümde ise, Türkiye’deki farklı üniversitelerden öğrenciler tüketici grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Bulgularımıza göre, Türkiye’deki üniversite öğrencileri, sosyal medyada günde ortalama 2-3 saat vakit geçirmekte olup, satın alma kararlarında da sosyal medyadan, istatistiksel bakımdan önemli bir derecede etkilenmektedirler.

social media marketing has emerged as businesses perform marketing activities through the use of social media sites and affects the purchasing behaviors of consumers in this article focused on relationships between social media usage habits and purchasing behaviours in university students, the concept of social media was addressed and the resource of social media’s impact on consumer behaviour is summarized by the research data based on the survey conducted in social media organs, students from different universities in turkey were selected as a consumer group, according to our findings, university students in turkey have spent an average of 23 hours on social media days, and they are significantly taken from social media decisions

Social media marketing came to the scene with corporations doing marketing activities via social media platforms and has also impact on the buying behavior of consumers. The main objective of this research is to investigate and understand the link in between social media usage habits of college students and their buying behaviors in this sense. In this paper first of all; social media, social media and consumer behavior relationship is theoretically reviewed. In the research part, college students of several Turkish Universities are taken as consumer sample group and a survey consisting. As a result of research, it is found that students in Turkey spend a daily average 2-3 hours on social media and their buying behaviors are affected by social media statistically significantly.
