Abstract:

Finansal okuryazarlık, bireylerin paranın kullanımı ve yönetimi konusunda elde ettiği tasarrufların ve alacağı yatırım kararlarının doğru finansal araçların tercih edilmesini sağlayacak şekilde bilgi, beceri ve yeterlilik temelli yaklaşım sergileyerek bireylerin finansal refahını arttırma çabasıdır. Finansal araçların bu kadar karmaşık bir hale geldiği günümüzde finansal okuryazarlığın titizlikle üzerine gidilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, toplumda sayısı gittikçe artan ve önemli bir yere sahip olan üniversite personelinin finansal okuryazarlık seviyesi, kendilerini finansal okuryazarlık konusunda yeterli görüp görmedikleri, bazı finansal kavramları bilme düzeyi ve güncel finansal gelişmelerle ilgilenme durumları incelenmiştir.
