Ana akım feminist yaklaşımlardan biri olan Liberal Feminizm, sosyal hayat ve eğitimdeki fırsat eşitliğinin önemini dikkat çekerek kadın ve erkek arasındaki eşitliği on plana çıkarmaktadır. Liberal feministler, kadınların da erkeklerle ayni fırsatlara sahip olduğu zaman, birçok alanda en az erkekler kadar iyi olacaklarını ve bu durumun liberal feminizm için önemli bir nokta olan aile ve toplumun gelişmesi için faydaları olacağını belirtirler.
