İLKÖĞRETİM SOSYAL ALAN DERS KİTAPLARININ GÖRSEL BOYUT VE İÇERİK TUTARLILIĞI AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı İlköğretim Okullarının I. Kademesinde okutulmakta olan 4. ve 5. sınıf Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarının, görsel boyut ve içerik tutarlılığı açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın alt problemlerini, ünite başlıkları-konu başlıkları, konu başlıkları-metin ana fikri, konu başlıkları-görsel öğeler ve metin ana fikri-görsel öğeler tutarlığı boyutları oluşturmuştur. Araştırma tarama modeli niteliğindedir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2007–2008 eğitim-öğretim yılı İlköğretim I. Kademede okutulan Sosyal Alan ders kitapları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini, İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. sınıf Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler, Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi ve Trafik Güvenliği ve 5. sınıf Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler ve Din Kültürü Ahlak Bilgisi ders kitapları olmak üzere toplam 7 adet ders kitabı oluşturmuştur. Veriler, her bir ders kitabının ünite ve konularını içeren ve “Hiç, Az, Orta, Çok ve Tamamen” derecelerinden oluşan tablolar aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarının, görsel boyut ve içerik tutarlılığının kısmen yeterli, İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarında, ünite başlıkları ile konu başlıkları yüksek oranda tutarlı, İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarında, konu başlıkları ile metin ana fikri yüksek oranda tutarlı, İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarında, konu başlıkları ile görsel öğeler tutarlılığı orta düzeyde, İlköğretim I. Kademe 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Alan ders kitaplarında, metin ana fikri ile görsel öğeler tutarlılığı düşük düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, the aim is to study the 4th and 5th classes of social field curricula, which are being taught in the 1st grade of the Primary Schools associated with the Ministry of Education, in terms of visual size and content consistency. The sub-problems of the study, the unit headings-theme headings, the subject headings-the main idea of the text, the subject headings-visual elements and the text the main idea-visual elements consistency dimensions. The research is a scan model. The universe of research, 2007-2008 educational year Primary Education I. Degree Social Area curriculum books studied. Examples of the study, Primary Education I. Class 4 Turkish, Social Information, Religious Culture and Ethical Information and Traffic Safety and 5. The class Turkish, Social Information and Religious Culture Ethical Knowledge has created a total of 7 lesson books, including lesson books. The data is collected through tables containing the units and subjects of each curriculum and consisting of the degrees "No, Little, Medium, Multiple and Complete". Research results; Primary Education I. Grade 4 and 5 classes Social Field curriculum, visual size and content consistency is partially sufficient, Primary Education I. Grade 4 and 5 classes Social Field curriculum books, unit headings and subject headings are highly consistent, Primary Education I. Grade 4 and 5 classes Social Field curriculum books, subject headings and text the main idea is highly consistent, Primary Education I. Grade 4 and 5. Classes in the Social Field Curriculum Books, subjects with visual items consistency at the middle level, Primary Education I. Classes 4 and 5 in the Social Field Curriculum Books, text with the main idea of visual items consistency at the low level has been found.

The purpose of this research was exam to coherence of visual dimension and content in 4. and 5. grade social field text books in first level of elementary school in Turkey. The sub-problems of research are coherence of unit-subject heading, subject heading-text central theme, subject heading-visual element and text central theme- visual element. Survey research model was used as research method. The universe of research is social field text books which are using in first level of elementary schools 2007-2008 periods. Sample of research is constituted of total 7 social field text books of first level of elementary school. These are 4. grade text book of Turkish Language, Social Studies, Religion Culture and Ethics, Traffic safety and 5. grade text book of Turkish Language, Social Studies, Religion Culture and Ethics. Data was collected by tables which consist text book unit and subject and ranked “not at all, seldom, average, much and completely.” Research results are given below: Coherence of visual dimension and content in 4. and 5. grades social field text books in first level of elementary school is partly adequate. Coherence of unit-subject heading of 4. and 5. grades social field text books in first level of elementary school is highly adequate. Coherence of subject heading-text central theme of 4. and 5. grades social field text books in first level of elementary school is highly adequate. Coherence of subject heading-visual dimension of 4. and 5. grades social field text books in first level of elementary school is average level. Coherence of text central theme -visual dimension of 4. and 5. grades social field text books in first level of elementary school is lower level.
