Geleneksel Türk Müziğinde kadın bestekarlar önemli bir yere sahiptir. Osmanlı Döneminden itibaren müziğin içerisinde olan kadınlar, müzik çalışmalarına Cumhuriyet Dönemiyle birlikte de devam etmişlerdir. Osmanlı Döneminde Reftar Kalfa ile başlayıp Dilhayat Kalfa ile devam eden kadın bestekarlık ekolü günümüze kadar devam etmiştir. Bu kadın bestekarlardan Melahat Pars erken Cumhuriyet döneminde yaşamış ve o dönemlerde Türk müziği eğitimi veren kurumlarda müzik hayatına devam etmiştir. Eserlerinin incelenmesi dönemin müzik gelişmelerinin incelenmesi açısından da önemlidir. Osmanlılar zamanında 17.yy’daki kadın bestekarlarla başlayan bu müzikal akım günümüze kadar süregelmiştir. Cumhuriyet dönemi öncesinde kurulan ve varlığını uzun bir müddet sürdüren müzik kurumlarında, cemiyetlerde kadın icracı, eğitimci, bestekarların varlığı azımsanmayacak ölçüde artmıştır. Buna bağlı olarak Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk müziğindeki gelişmelerin olumlu etkileri günümüze yansımaktadır. Bu bilgilere dayanarak Cumhuriyet Dönemi kadın bestekarlar ele alınmış, verdikleri eserler incelenmeye çalışılmış, Melahat Pars’ın çalışmaları bestekâr, eğitimci ve icracı özellikleri açısından dikkate değer bulunmuştur. Çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesinde Cumhuriyet döneminde Türk müziğinde yaşanan gelişmelere, genel hatlarıyla kadın bestekarlar ve Türk Müziğinde kadın bestekarlara, Melahat Pars’ın müzik yaşamına dair bilgiler verilmiş, TRT sözlü eserler repertuvarına kayıtlı eserleri liste halinde sunularak müzikal yapıları itibariyle değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de kadın bestekarlar üzerine yapılmış çalışmaların yeterli sayıda olmaması ve alana katkı sağlaması açısından önem arz etmektedir.
In traditional Turkish music, female composers have an important place. Since the Ottoman era, women in music have continued their music work along with the Republic. In the Ottoman Period, the female composition ecole, which began with Reftar Kalfa and continued with Dilhayat Kalfa, continued until today. This female composer Melahat Pars lived in the early Republic period and continued his music life in the institutions that educated Turkish music in those periods. The study of their works is also important in terms of the development of the music of the time. This musical stream, which began with female composers in the 17th century in the Ottoman time, has continued until today. In the music institutions that were established before the Republic and which remained in existence for a long time, the presence of women executives, educators, composers in communities has increased to a great extent. Accordingly, the Republican period reflects the positive effects of the developments in Turkish music to the present day. Based on this information, the Republican period women composers were addressed, the works they gave were tried to be studied, Melahat Pars' works were considerable in terms of nutritional, educational and executive characteristics. In the conceptual framework of the study, the developments in Turkish music during the Republic period, the general lines of women composers and women composers in Turkish music, the information about Melahat Pars' music life was given, the works registered in the TRT repertoire of verbal works were presented in the list and the musical structures were taken to be assessed according to the list. This study emphasizes the importance of the lack of sufficient number of work done on female composers in Turkey and contributing to the area.
Women composers have an important place in traditional Turkish music. Women who were busy with music from the times of the Ottoman period continued their music studies with the Republican Era. Starting with Reftar Kalfa and going on with Dilhayat Kalfa, Composition school of women has continued up to now. Melahat Pars, one of these female composers, lived in the early Republican era and continued her musical career at Turkish Music Education Institutions at that time. Examination of her works is also important in terms of examining the musical developments of the period. In the time of the Ottomans, this musical movement, which began with women composers in the 17th century, has continued until today. The existence of women performers, educators and composers in the music organizations and societies that were established before the Republican period and continued for a long time has increased considerably. So the positive effects of developments in Turkish music in the Republican period are reflected today. Based on these informations, female composers of the Republican Period were taken into consideration and their works were examined.and also Melahat Pars’s compositions were examined. In the conceptual framework of the study, information was given about the developments in Turkish music in the Republican period, women composers in general terms and female composers in Turkish Music and Melahat Pars's music life. Her works recorded in TRT oral works repertoire were listed and their musical structures were appreciated. This research is expected to contribute to that important area as to the lack of a sufficient number of studies done on women composers in Turkey.
