Ruhun varlığı inancı, tarih boyunca hemen hemen bütün din ve toplumlarda kabul görmüş, insanlar gözle görülmeyen ve mahiyeti bilinmeyen bir ruhun varlığına inanmışlardır. Genel olarak ruhun beden ile olan ilişkisi pek çok kelam sisteminde önemli bir problem olmuştur. Ruhun, bedenle birlikte bir bütün olarak kabul edilmesi gerektiğini savunanlar olduğu gibi, bedenden tamamen bağımsız bir varlığa sahip olduğu görüşünü savunan düşünürler de olmuştur. İlkçağ yunan filozofu Platon ile başladığı kabul edilen “ruhun müstakil bir varlığının olduğu” anlayışı, İslam düşünürlerinin çoğunluğu tarafından da savunulmuş, bu konuda birbirinden farklı pek çok teori ortaya konulmuştur. Ruhun anlaşılması noktasında ruh-beden ayrımına gidilmiş olması, İslam kelamı açısından bedenden önce ruhun varlığı, bedenin ölümünden sonra ruhun durumu, ruh ve bedenin yeniden yaratılıştaki durumları gibi birçok meselenin tartışılmasına zemin oluşturmuştur. Ruh hakkında naslarda yoruma ihtiyaç bırakmayacak açıklıkta bir ifadenin olmaması, düşünürleri ruhu anlamada kanıt olabilecek âyet ve hadisleri tahlil ederek yorum yapmaya götürmüştür. Bu bağlamda ruhun mahiyeti, bedene göre durumu, önceliği-sonralığı, ezelîlik ve ebedîliği tartışma konusu olmuştur. Çalışmamızda öncelikle ruh kavramının sözlük anlamı ve çağdaş bilimin ruh algısına temas edecek, sonra ruh-beden ilişkisi açısından monist, düalist teorilere yer vereceğiz. Çalışmamızı ruhun bedene göre önceliği-sonralığı meselesi ve buna bağlı olarak ruhun ezelilik ve ebediliği hakkında tahlil ve değerlendirmeyle sınırlayarak, bu konudaki görüşleri aktarmaya çalışacağız.
The belief of the existence of the soul has almost accepted in all religions and communities throughout history and people have believed the existence of the soul that was not seen by eyes and was not known its nature. The relation of the soul and the body generally has become an important problem in many systems of kalam (Islamic theology). There were some thinkers who have defended the necessity of the acceptance of the unity of the soul and the body together and also there was some thinkers who have defended the view of ownership of the independent existence of the soul from the body completely. The understanding which is the soul having self-contained existence and is approved to begin with Platon who is the Ancient Greek philosopher of the First Era have defended by the majority of Islamic thinkers and many different theories about this subject were manifested. In the point of capability of being understood of the soul, the distinction of the soul and the body have provided a basis for discussion of many issues like the existence of the soul before the body in the way of Islamic theology, the situation of the soul after the death of the body, the conditions of the soul and the body in recreation. The lack of the clear expression which has no need any comment about the soul in texts have caused the interpretation with analyzing the verses and hadiths that can be a proof in the understanding of the soul by the thinkers. In this context, the nature of the soul, its situation according to the body, its priority and subsequence, its eternity and perpetuity have become a topic of discussion. In our study first of all, we will mention about the lexical meaning of the term of the soul and the perception of the soul of contemporary science, and then we will deal with monist and dualist theories in terms of the relation of the soul and the body. We will try to transmit the views about this subject with limiting the issue of the priority and subsequence of the soul according to the body and depending on this an analysis and evaluation about the eternity and perpetuity of the soul.
