Ali Emîrî Diyarbakır'da doğmuştur. Osmanlının siyasi olarak en sıkıntılı döneminde ve ardından yeni Türk Cumhuriyetinin ilk yıllarında yaşamıştır. Kitap okumaya merakı, onu İstanbul'a getirmiştir. Dîvânü Lugâti't-Türk'ün ilim âlemine tanıtılmasında kilit rol üstlenmiştir. Osmanlı toplumundaki fiziksel dönüşümün yanında zihinsel dönüşüme de tanıklık etmiştir. Ali Emîrî hem şair hem de bir naşir olarak dikkat çekmiştir. Çeşitli meselelerle ilgili görüşlerini Osmanlı Tarih ve Edebiyatı Mecmuası ile Tarih ve Edebiyatı Mecmuası’nın yanında Âmid-i Sevdâ (1909) adlı altı sayılık gazetede yayınlamıştır. Bu bildiride Ali Emîrî'nin Âmid-i Sevdâ adlı gazetede yayınlamış olduğu şiirler, tema açısından incelenmiştir. Bunun için Millet Kütüphanesi A.E. Gzt. 570 numaralı Âmid-i Sevdâ gazetesi elde edilmiş, gazetedeki şiirler dikkatli bir şekilde muhteva açısından incelenmiştir. Gazetede toplam elli üç adet müstakil şiir tespit edilmiştir. Bu şiirlerden başka, gazeteye serpiştirilmiş olan yaklaşık 150 mısralık irili ufaklı manzum metin tespit edilmiştir. Bu şiirlerin bir kısmı Ali Emîrî'ye, bir kısmı da farklı şairlere aittir. Ali Emîrî, vatan ve millet sevgisini yüreğinde taşıyan bir şairdir. Bu sevgi, onun şiirine de yansımıştır. Ayrıca şair, Osmanlı sultanına derin bir muhabbet beslemektedir. Gazetedeki diğer şairlere ait şiirlerin bir kısmı da bu temayı işlemiştir. Ayrıca gazetedeki birçok şiir, nazire olarak yazılmıştır. Ali Emîrî, gazetenin birinci sayısında elindeki bir şiir mecmuasından bazı şiirleri seçip yayınlamıştır. Bu şiirlerde aşk, sevgi, ayrılık, sultana muhabbet, vatan sevgisi gibi temalar işlenmiştir. Gazetenin sonraki sayılarında da bu temalar bilinçli bir şekilde işlenmiştir. Âmid-i Sevdâ ismi Diyarbakır sevgisini içermektedir. Ayrıca gazetede Âmidli şairlere sıkça yer verilmiştir. Bütün bunlar, Ali Emîrî’nin Diyarbakır’a olan özel muhabbetini göstermektedir. Bu şiirlerde işlenen temalar, şüphesiz Osmanlı Devleti'nin içinden geçtiği kötü şartlarla yakından ilişkilidir.

Ali Emiri was born in Diyarbakir. He lived in politically mostdifficult time of the Ottoman, and in the early years of the new Republic of Turkey. His curiosity to read books brought him to Istanbul. He had played a key role in introducing of the Diwanu Lugati't-Turk to the science world. He has witnessed the physical transformation along with the mental transformation in the Ottoman society. Ali Emiri has attracted attention as a poets as well as a publisher. He published his opinions about various issues in Osmanlı Tarih ve Edebiyatı Mecmuası (the Ottoman History and Literature Magazine), Tarih ve Edebiyatı Mecmuası (the History and Literature Magazine), and Amid-i Sevda (1909) which is published with six issues. Ali Emiri's poems which have been published in the Amid-i Sevda newspaper are examined in terms of the theme in this paper. To do this, Amid-i Sevda newspaper numbered Millet Library A.E. Gzt. 570 was obtained. The poems of this newspaper were carefully examined in terms of content. In total, fifty-three independent poetries have been detected in this newspaper. Apart from these poems, nearly 150 verses large and small poetic texts have been detected in this newspaper. Some part of all these poetic texts are belong to Ali Emiri, and someof them belongs to the different poets. Ali Emiri is a poet who has love of the homeland and nation in his heart. This love has been also reflected in his poetry. Also, he has a deep love to the Ottoman Sultan. Some poems belongs to other poets in the newspaper have also examined this theme. Also, many poems were written as a nazira. Ali Emiri published some poems which were selected from a poem magazine in the first issue of the newspaper. In these poems some themes likelove, affection, separation, affection of the Sultan, homeland love were examined. These themes also were examined in the next issues of the newspaper consciously. The name of Amid-i Sevda includes the love of Diyarbakir city. Also the poets from Amid were frequently mentioned in the newspaper. All these show Ali Emiri's special love of Diyarbakir. The themes which were examined poems,were closely related to the bad conditions of the Ottoman State.
