Abstract:

Having an important place in terms of literary and cultural history, Resimli Gazete magazine has been published in the period of II. Abdulhamit. The journal, which is published in a long-term and regularly published period, contains articles in various genres ranging from literature to art, from politics to history, from positive sciences to religion, morality and mysticism. Besides its writing activities, it also stands out among the magazines of the period with its paintings and photographs. A large number of pictures and photographs were printed at each count corresponding to the contents of the texts. Portraits of poets and authors of the magazine, portraits of politicians and statesmen, images of instruments used in military service, images of warriors, maps of war, maps of landscapes of city, city, abroad, arts, technological developments and news pictures and photographs are included. In this study, the first newspaper and magazine activities from the period of Tanzimat to the period of II. Abdülhamit were given in connection with the publications of the Resimli Gazete Magazine. The number 115 of Rumi 1312-1315 (1896-1899) of the Resimli Gazete published for a long time between 1307-1315 (1891-1899) was examined. Under the heading of figure features, information about the publication date of the Resimli Gazete, owner's privilege, imprint, print, administration, price, number of pages, logos, serials and subscription conditions are given. The magazine has a rich content in terms of subject and genre. Under the title of content features, they are classified according to the type of writing and information about their content is given. It also contains information about writers, photographers and painters.
