Türkçe Dersinde Dinlediğini Anlama Becerisinin Geliştirilmesinde Otantik Görev Temelli Otantik Materyallerin Etkisi

Ülkemizde 2005 yılından bu yana uygulanan yapılandırmacı yaklaşımın barındırdığı felsefi temeller birçok öğretimsel yaklaşıma kaynaklık etmektedir. Bu yaklaşımlardan biri de hem öğrencinin etkinliğine hem de öğrenmelerin gerçek dünya ile paralelliğine dayanan otantik öğrenme yaklaşımıdır. Yapılan araştırmalar anlamlı öğrenmeye katkı sağlamada, okuma, yazma, dinleme ve konuşma becerilerinin geliştirilmesinde, okuryazarlığa ilişkin motivasyon ve tutumun arttırılmasında, dil becerilerinin öğretiminde otantik görev ve materyallerin etkililiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Türkçe dersinde dinlediğini anlama becerisinin geliştirilmesinde otantik görev temelli otantik materyallerin etkisini belirlemeye yönelik olarak bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test son test kontrol gruplu modele göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. . Eskişehir ilindeki bir ilköğretim okulunun 4. sınıfındaki öğrenciler, katılımcı olarak seçilmiştir. Araştırma probleminin çözümü için veri toplama aracı olarak; öğrencilerin kişisel bilgilerini belirlemek için Kişisel Bilgi Formu, öğrencilerin dinlediğini anlama başarı düzeylerini ölçmek için Dinlediğini Anlama Testi ve Türkçe dersi Yenilikler ve Gelişmeler, Dünyamız ve Uzay temalarına yönelik ders planları ve öğretim materyalleri kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına ön test uygulandıktan sonra deney grubundaki öğrencilere araştırmacı tarafından otantik görev temelli otantik materyaller ile hazırlanan etkinlikler uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ilişkisiz iki örneklem ortalaması arasındaki farkın anlamlı olup olmadığını test eden ilişkisiz örneklemler için t testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda Türkçe öğretiminde otantik görev temelli otantik materyal kullanımının dinlediğini anlama becerisi üzerinde pozitif bir etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir.

The philosophical foundations of the structural approach that has been applied in our country since 2005 are a source of many educational approaches. One of these approaches is an authentic learning approach based on both the student’s effectiveness and the parallelity of learning with the real world. The research is contributing to meaningful learning, the development of reading, writing, listening and speech skills, the increase of motivation and attitude towards literature, the authentic tasks and the effectiveness of materials in the teaching of language skills. In order to determine the effect of authentic materials based on authentic task in the development of the understanding of what you listen to in the Turkish course, the pre-test of quantitative research methods in this study was carried out according to the model of the final test control group. As a data collection tool for the solution of the research problem; Personal Information Form to determine the personal information of students, the Student's understanding of what they listen to, the Understanding Test to measure the level of success and the Turkish lesson Innovations and developments, our Earth and space topics are used in curriculum plans and teaching materials. After the pre-test was applied to the experiment and control groups, the activities prepared by the researcher with authentic materials based on authentic task were applied to the students in the experiment group. In the analysis of the data, the t test was used for the non-related samples to test whether the difference between the two unrelated samples average is meaningful. The research has shown that authentic task-based authentic material use in Turkish teaching has a positive impact on the ability to understand that he is listening.

Philosophical principles which are also a part of constructivist approach applied from 2005 in Turkey guide various educational approaches. One of these educational approaches is authentic approach that gives attention to forming activities for students that are parallel to the real world practices. Research shows that authentic tasks and materials promote meaningful learning. Also, they improve reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. Furthermore, they increase motivation of students and their attitudes for reading and writing. The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of authentic materials based on authentic tasks on improving listening comprehension skill in Turkish course. This research was planned and completed according to pre test and post test with control group experimental design. Students in the 4th grade of elementary schools in the Eskişehir province selected as a participant. Tools used for data collection were “Personal Information Form”, “Listening Comprehension Test”, lesson plans and teaching materials for themes of Turkish course named “innovation and improvements” and “earth and space”. In analysis of the data collected with these tools, independent samples t-test was benefited. The findings obtained in this research suggest that using authentic materials based on authentic tasks in Turkish course are positively influential in increasing listening comprehension.
