Abstract:

The aim of this study was to identify teachers' opinions about their organizational support, organizational identification and organizational cynicism levels and to determine if there are significant differences among their opinions regarding these three variables. This research was descriptive, correlational model is made . In terms of research analysis techniques, quantitative study. The data were collected in the 2012 – 2013 academic year primary and secondary school teachers (n= 81) working in the district of Bolu - Mudurnu. In this study, the quantative data were collected through Organizational Support Scale (SAS) developed by Derinbay (2011), Organizational Identification Scale (OOO) adapted into Turkish by Loga (2003) and Organizational Cynicism Scale (SAR) adapted into Turkish by Kalağan ve Güzeller (2008). Some of the findings of the study were as follows: while significant gender differences were found in the opinions of organizational identification scale, no significant gender differences were found in other two scales. When their opinions in terms of their education levels and years of experience in teaching, no significant differences were observed in all the scales. When the correlation among organizational support, organizational identification and organizational cynicism is concerned, a positive moderate level relationship was found between organizational support and organizational cynicism, a positive moderate level relationship was found between organizational cynicism and organizational identification and no significant difference was found between organizational support and organizational cynicism.When the findings of the present study is examined as a whole it can be said that teachers’ opinions are at a good level when their organizations organizational support and organizational identification levels are concerned even though their organizational cynicism or exposure to cynicism rates are at a level that cannot be said to be underestimated.
