Bu çalışmada, Fransızca anlamı “sonsuzluğa düşüş” olan ve dilimize “erken anlatı” olarak çevrilen üstkurmaca tekniği “mise en abyme”in Orhan Pamuk’un “Kara Kitap” adlı romanındaki kullanımı incelenecektir. Mise en abyme, Balzac romanına karşı çıkarak postmodern romanın temellerini atan Yeni Romancıların, Andre Gide’in romanlarından etkilenerek kullandığı bir üstkurmaca tekniğidir. Andre Gide, bu tekniği oluştururken armalar bilimi “heraldik”ten etkilenmiştir. Bir armanın içinde aynı armanın yer alması, tekniğin ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Bu şekilde, iç kısımdaki armanın içinde de, daha içerdeki armanın içinde de yine aynı arma yer alacak ve bakan kişilerde armanın sonsuza kadar kendi içinde yer aldığı hissi uyandırılacaktır. Romanda, bir üstkurmaca tekniği olarak “mise en abyme”in kullanım şekli ise şöyledir: Romanın ana konusu, romanın çeşitli yerlerinde küçük hikâyeler şeklinde tekrar eder. Okur, okumakta olduğu romanın ana konusunun oldukça benzerinin küçük bir hikâye halinde yine aynı romanın içinde yer aldığını gördüğü zaman bir kafa karışıklığı yaşayacak; küçük hikâyede anlatılan olayın ana konuya ne kadar benzediğini, bu hikâyenin neden anlatıldığını anlamaya çalışacak ve metne yoğunlaşacaktır. Yazar da, belki, ana hikâyeye oldukça benzeyen küçük hikâyede okurlara sahte ipuçları vererek onlara sürpriz bir son hazırlayacaktır.
In this study, we will study the use of the supernatural technique "mis en byme", which in French means "fall to eternity" and is translated into our language as "early narrative" in Orhan Pamuk's novel "The Black Book". Mise en byme is a technique of the new novelists, who put the foundations of postmodern novel against the Balzac novel, used by influenced by Andre Gide's novels. Andre Gide was influenced by the "heraldic" science of the arms while creating this technique. The position of the same weapon in a weapon has become the source of inspiration for the technology. In this way, the weapon in the inner part, and the weapon in the inner part, will again be the same weapon, and in those who look, the feeling that the weapon is in itself will be awakened forever. In the novel, the way of use of "mis en byme" as a supernatural technique is as follows: the main subject of the novel repeats in the form of small stories in various places of the novel.
