Abstract:

In this study, where translation for children at the pre-school level of children's books is studied taking into account the principle of relativity to children, it is intended to point out the aspects to be taken into account when preparing qualified children's books and translations. In the study, children's literature experts discussed the criteria that should be found in the children's books specified in the studies and the shortcomings applied when making translation criticism. In light of these criteria, the translation of two books by Christine Nöstlinger from German to Turkish was taken into the context of the text and the framework of the work based on the phrase. In the translations in these translation books, it was tried to determine how much the principle of relativity was considered to the child and whether the expressions used were in accordance with this principle. As a result, the findings that were chosen to the child in accordance with the principle of relativity were discussed about the importance of expressions chosen to the child in loving reading and giving them read habits, and the findings obtained were attempted to figure out what should be taken into account in the example.
